Rae is a goldsmith trained in Fine Jewellery, but also experienced in preservation and keepsake jewellery. She started making jewellery in 2012, completed her silver diploma in 2020 and her Fine jewellery diploma in 2023 with the London Jewellery School. She is also a certified cultured pearl specialist.

Rae lives with her husband, two young daughters and cat in rural Staffordshire.
